Fair questions
How does the free trial work?
Your first 30 days are free, starting the day you open for orders, and you don't need a card to sign up or open. Add a card any time during the trial and you get 15 more free days before your first monthly charge. If the trial ends with no card, online ordering pauses and nothing is charged. Add a card later and it turns right back on.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No, never. Takeoutly is a flat subscription. Diners chip in a flat $1.11 Takeoutly fee per order, clearly labeled at checkout.
What about card processing fees?
Card processing runs on Stripe at Stripe's standard rates, paid to Stripe. Takeoutly adds nothing on top and never holds your money; payouts go from the diner's card to your bank.
Can I add my own service fee?
Yes. You can add a flat or percentage service fee of your own (up to 15%), it's labeled with your name at checkout, and every cent of it stays with you.
Is there a contract or a cancellation fee?
No. It's month to month through Stripe at $29 a month for 12 months from the day you add a card, then $49, and you can cancel anytime. Your data exports whenever you want it.
Do I need special hardware?
No. The kitchen board, the back office and your ordering page all run in a browser on any phone, tablet or computer you already own.
