About Takeoutly
Takeoutly was started by Rodney Blackwell, a Sacramento solopreneur who has spent twenty years building communities around food, from founding the Sacramento Burger Battle to running the Plush Burger pop-up.
When Oracle announced it was shutting down GloriaFood and stranding more than a hundred thousand restaurants, Rodney was helping a beloved Sacramento brunch spot figure out what came next. The answer became Takeoutly: commission-free online ordering with a live kitchen board, direct payouts, and a promise that restaurants own their data and can leave anytime with everything.
Today Takeoutly is run by one person and a small circle of beta restaurants who steer the roadmap. Tomorrow it will be run by worker-owners. The plan is written, the pay scale will be published, and Sacramento gets first crack at the jobs.
If that sounds like a company you want handling your orders, request early access and help us build it.
